A transformative vision for urban mobility in Haiti's capital. Connecting communities, fostering economic growth, and championing sustainable development through modern transit.
The Port-au-Prince Transit (PAPT) system is a comprehensive reimagining of public transportation infrastructure for Haiti's capital. Building on early design concepts from 2024, the 2025 update presents a fully integrated network of six rapid transit lines spanning 97 stations, representing 79 unique physical locations across the metropolitan area.
Designed to connect major residential, commercial, and institutional districts, PAPT directly addresses Port-au-Prince's most urgent mobility challenges through a model centered on sustainability, accessibility, and resilience.
By Year 5 of full operations, PAPT is projected to serve 800,000–1.2 million daily passengers, reduce CO₂ emissions by 300,000–500,000 tons annually, create 20,000+ local jobs during construction, and catalyze a new era of organized urban development throughout Port-au-Prince.
PAPT's visual identity emphasizes clarity, accessibility, and modern design principles suitable for an international transit system.
