A quieter way to explore places: NoirMap reimagines the modern map as a clean, black-and-white interface focused on clarity and trust.
Users can search for locations, add new businesses or landmarks, and help verify each other’s submissions through simple confirmation rather than ratings, ads, or algorithms.
Designed with restraint: There are no bright colors, no sponsored results, and no visual noise competing for attention. The goal is orientation, not persuasion.
NoirMap is not trying to replace existing map platforms. It is an exploration of what mapping feels like when simplicity, community validation, and calm design come first.
Future direction: NoirMap is intended to merge with my Next Up project, forming a single local-first system for mobility, mapping, and neighborhood awareness.
